Georgia Peach Pecan Ice Cream

By: Amecia Matlock

A sweet treat made with fresh Georgia peaches that is as delightful as it is simple to make. A blender does most of the heavy lifting, and my toddler loved joining in to help!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup diced peaches (about 4-5 whole)
  • ¼ cup La Lechera dulce de leche
  • ½ cup condensed milk
  • 1 ½ cup heavy cream or double cream
  • 2 pinches flaky sea salt
  • Chopped honey-roasted pecans

Directions

  • Cut a cross at the base of the peaches, and blanch them in a pot of rapidly boiling water for 2-3 minutes
  • Peel and dice the peaches into small chunks
  • Add peaches, La Lechera dulce de leche, condensed milk, heavy cream or double cream, and flaky sea salt in a food processor or blender and blend until well combined
  • Pour into a shallow freezer-safe dish and sprinkle in preferred amount of honey-roasted pecans
  • Freeze for 6-8 hours, or until soft set
Tip: stir after 2-3 hours of freezing to keep the texture from getting too frosty

Pairs well with warm cinnamon pecan bread

Let me know if you give this a try and how you make the recipe your own 🙂
